Market Day in Arles France

Market Day in Arles

There are 2 weekly outdoor markets every week in Arles on Wednesday and Saturday
Saturday: Bd. des Lices and Bd. Georges-Clémenceau.
Wednesday: Bd. Émile Combes.
On the first Wednesday of every month there is also a “Foire à la brocante” (antique fair) on Bd. des Lices.
We prefer the Saturday market on Boulevard des Lices because it’s the biggest one.. And a real feast for all the senses!!!
Our favorites stops are:

The bio market, to buy rice from la Chassagnette, vegetables from “Laos farmers” like Thai aubergine, or snake zucchini..

Buy olives and anchoaïade at "Les Délices de l'Olivier" ...Try olives au pesto!!

Buy local goat cheeses direct from Vauvert at "Le Mas du Trident", especially the “Trident” speciality of Stéphane!

Buy tellines there

Buy les Côtes de Taureaux de "Mossieur Perez"

Buy local hand-crafted, in the other side of the boulevard, in front of Stéphane goat shop

And finally have a pastis at the Malarte.. You deserve it!
Arles market is a great place to buy locally grown produce!
You’ find lots of items made of colorful fabrics, by the meter (such as the bright Provencal fabrics), or skirts and tops, and bed and table linens.
You’ll find as well herbs and spices of the South and their famous Lavender, locally made soaps and toiletries from natural ingredients, art and hand-crafted items such as oil paintings, watercolors, painted porcelains, carved wooden objects, pottery, and the famous Santons...
